The client: The Customer Owned Banking Association (COBA) is the industry association for Australia’s customer-owned banking institutions – mutual banks, credit unions and building societies.
Our work: Reverb managed the content production, curation and design of two editions of a nationally recognised anthology, Banking with Purpose. The work involved interviews with nearly every Customer Owned Banking Association member organisation and careful selection of the right information to showcase their community input. Reverb managed the process from ideation to final design and production.
The work has strong PR gravitas, highlighting customer-owned banks offer community value well beyond their profit-driven peers. For included customer-owned banks, it fostered a sense of inclusion and built further collegiality with fellow mutuals and COBA.
The impact: The Banking with Purpose publications were universally well received, with many of the members showcasing their editions at branches. For members, it provided an opportunity to give concrete case studies of their work in a format not previously available to them. The second edition can be read here.
