The client: First Nations Foundation is an Indigenous-led not-for-profit organisation working to achieve financial prosperity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through education, advocacy, and culturally informed resources.
Our work: Reverb worked with First Nations Foundation (FNF) to develop its voice as Australia’s leading Indigenous-led organisation championing financial wellbeing. We began by refreshing the brand identity and messaging to better reflect its bold, solutions-focused mission. From there, we delivered a comprehensive communications strategy that spanned PR, content, digital storytelling and stakeholder engagement.
A cornerstone of this work was launching Tomorrow Money, a culturally relevant financial literacy publication created by and for Indigenous Australians, and My Money Dream, an online platform where Indigenous Australians can learn the foundations of financial capability in culturally aware and developed content modules. We enabled the development of a module with Morningstar on investor foundations.
Reverb produced two impactful podcast series for FNF – Beyond the Gap and Rich Blak Women – spotlighting Indigenous voices and financial journeys, and positioning FNF as a leader in Indigenous storytelling and advocacy. We secured national media coverage around key events and reports including the Indigenous Financial Wellness Report and Indigenous Financial Wellbeing Week, while providing strategic support across campaigns, government relations, and corporate partnerships.
The impact: Reverb’s work helped position First Nations Foundation as a powerful national voice in financial inclusion and Indigenous economic empowerment, positioning it to receive the Indigenous Charity of the Year award in 2021.
With successful online program launches, two acclaimed podcast series, and an integrated digital content strategy, FNF built authentic engagement with First Nations audiences and positioned itself as a go-to source for culturally safe financial guidance.
Media coverage across major outlets lifted FNF’s visibility, while the refreshed brand and communications strategy opened doors to new funding, partnerships, and policy influence that grew its reach, deepened its impact, and aimed to drive systemic change through Indigenous-led solutions.
